Back to Epinac

 June 24th

Last year we rode past the town of Epinac and discovered a great parking place so we drove there today to start our ride to Autun for 42km roundtrip. The trail is a wonderfully smooth asphalt rail trail for many kilometers.  We rode a portion last year and completed it today.  We were in farm land with lots of Charolais in the distance as well as a few towns with church steeples and castle turrets along the way.  The Chateau Rochepot was a sight to see but unfortunately it is permanently closed so for now we just admire it from afar.

Dinner at a Le Parisian, a bar/restaurant that we frequent was very tasty and inexpensive.  The waiter we usually have wasn't there but as we were about to leave he showed up and sat down to be served.  It must be a good place if the waitstaff comes on their day off!
