Awesome Auxerre

It is a bit of a drive to get to Auxerre from Beaune but the weather was better there and we love riding along the Yonne River and the Canal du Nivernais.  The trail does sometimes go out on a road to reconnect but it's an easy ride for almost 50km and very picturesque.  We saw a few boats but not as many as we have seen on the other canals.

Dinner at 8 Clos used to be a favorite and the food was still pretty good but the server/owner? was very abrupt and not attentive.  The best part of the evening was the wine by the glass (the best Chardonnay I've had and Jay said the best Pinot Noir) because the wine list was ridiculously expensive.
