Back to Beaune

June 3rd

We were glad we arrived back in Beaune around 4pm so we could get to the parking garage attendant to purchase our parking pass for the month (actually 33 days for us).  It's a screamin' deal at 60 Euros...less than 2 Euros per day.  Our apartment on Place Jules Marey only costs us 48 Euros a day...also a screamin' deal!  We unloaded and unpacked just in time for the very cute Pierre to come by and welcome us (also to collect the balance in cash😏).

Because it was Monday and many restaurants are closed we made a reservation ahead of time at Le Monge just down the street.  It has kind of been our tradition to have our first and sometimes our last meal in Beaune at this great little bistro that has fabulous food at a very reasonable price.  Before dinner we stopped at Bar 66 for an aperitif.

Tomorrow the weather looks good so we will leave the canals to ride through the vineyards from Beaune to Santenay for about 58 kilometers.
