Picturesque

One of the most picturesque canal rides is along the Burgundy Canal between Pouilly-en-Auxois and Pont d'Ouche.  We passed by at least 15 locks and bridges decorated with flowers.  The canal side is lush and green, the Charlais are out to say hello and you can see the wonderful village of Chateauneuf up on the hill along the way.  

After 42 kilometers I was ready for happy hour at Bar 66.  We discovered a bottle of Whispering Angel Rose on the menu which is a favorite at home as well.  We have eyed the large mixed planche that others have ordered so we indulged in that for dinner.  A variety of sliced meats along with brie and goat cheese, cornichons, pickled onions and a basket of bread, of course. Delicious!
