On the Road Again

We drove to Tain l’Hermitage and hit a thunder storm on the way.  The storms here are severe but move through quickly thank goodness since we could hardly see to drive and we were on the speedy toll road.

We checked into our apartment which is very cute and an addition to the main house that was built in 1906.  The kitchen is amazing and the bed is comfy.  There is good air conditioning as well.  The courtyard has a hot tub and the main garden a very nice pool.  We didn't bring swim suits so not sure we will take advantage of those amenities.  The bathroom is very modern, with a great shower and a fabulous lighted mirror.  The only drawback is that the bedroom is up a steep flight of stairs and the bathroom downstairs so night visits to the commode are a little tricky.

Our hosts gave us a few ideas for dinner at nearby restaurants so we gave one a try.  Le Nice was just ok but not worth a recommendation.
