Venarey-les-Laumes to Montbard

July 3rd

After riding over 50km yesterday we took a shorter 40km ride on a flat surface.  The trail follows the Burgundy Canal which is a favorite and very picturesque.  On our drive back to Beaune we took a new route and found some outstanding chateaux to perhaps visit next year.  There always seems to be something beautiful around each corner.
