Rollin' on the River

Our ride from just south of Chalon-sur-Saone at Marnay to Tournus along the Saone river is part of two bike trails. The Voie Bleu and the Southern Burgundy trails combine to form a loop from Macon to Chalon-sur-Saone. We've ridden all of the sections except for the one from Macon to Cluny because there is a long tunnel that we have heard is dangerous. However, we learned from an older couple (Ha! They are probably younger than we are?) that it's not a problem. I guess we'll tackle it next year. The trail goes along side the Saone with views across the river and the occasional side route through small villages for a 40km roundtrip ride.

Dinner at Le Parisien was a wonderful gazpacho followed by salmon tartare made with both fresh and smoked salmon. I may go back for another plate of that!
